Many WordPress developers liberally add plugins to WordPress sites. It’s not uncommon to see sites with dozens of plugins.
WPBeginner.com says that they have 62 active plugins on their site.
It’s generally not a problem for a WordPress site to have a lot of plugins. However, the more plugins installed and activated, the greater the odds either a security vulnerability will arise with one of them or there will be a plugin conflict.
The site you are on has four plugins. They are
- GP Premium, which adds premium features to the GeneratePress theme
- GenerateBlocks, a free WordPress block enhancer
- GenerateBlocks Pro for more options
- Yoast SEO

Four plugins may be all you need if you use WordPress as a blog site. However, an enterprise WordPress site typically needs a higher number of plugins.
Some plugins can slow down your website. We like to keep our Pagespeed in the 90s.

General advice: before adding a new plugin, it’s worth asking yourself if it is necessary or whether there’s another way to accomplish what the plugin is designed to do.
